Theni Cancer Institute (TCI) is a NGO organization that focuses on cancer treatment, pain & palliative care and prevention of cancer. TCI is committed in prevention of cancer and to conceive, build and sustain programs to initiative & aimed at helping the cancer patients.
The medical team of Theni Cancer Institute, under the leadership of Dr.Madhyaarjun.R, Nuclear Medicine Oncologist, has redefined a new approach in cancer treatment. His team consists of various faculties who has experience in prevention and treatments of cancer that includes radiation, surgical and preventive oncology.
The medical team of Theni Cancer Institute includes trained physicians & paramedical technicians. Our team is well versed in handling cancer-screening programs that includes pre-screening, orating and creating awareness on the importance of cancer screening, stages of cancer and the advantages of our clinical investigation. As a roadmap to this goal, a multifaceted approach is planned and at the top of this list is the awareness creation and screening of cancer that is accessible to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender or socioeconomic status.
The roles and responsibilities of TCI are:-
- TCI will conduct cancer awareness for the importance of breast cancer screening and highlight the advantages of our screening procedures.
- TCI will setup cancer-screening booths and will conduct the awareness and screening of cancer at defined locations with our team of medical experts that includes all equipment and utilities.
- TCI will ensure that further confirmatory clinical investigations is carried for positive cases and the screeners are guided appropriately based on their conditions at all stages of cancer.

General Wellness and Cancer Awareness Program
Our General Wellness and Cancer Awareness Program is designed to educate the community about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent cancer. This program includes:
- Educational Workshops: Regular sessions on nutrition, exercise, and healthy living.
- Awareness Campaigns: Initiatives to spread information about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of regular screenings.
- Community Engagement: Events and activities to engage the community in wellness practices.

- Gramiyam Nalam Maruthuvamanai (Rural Health Center) - in Cuddalore

- Women wellness program initiated by Mayor Kanchipuram Corporation Smt. M. Mahalakshmi Yuvaraj
- SSKV Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kanchipuram (founded by Diwan Bahadur Sri Somasundara Sastriyar, a Deputy Collector and his friend Sri Ramanatha Sarma)
- Anandham Old Age Home, Ambattur, Chennai
- Income Tax, Aayakar Bhawan, Chennai - Inaugurated by the Principal Chief Commissioner of Pondicherry and Tamilnadu (Smt. Jahanseb Aktar)

- K-Lite Industries, Ambattur, (Supported by Gangaur Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu Women's Wing) Chennai

CSR activities
The Companies Act 2013 proposes to mandate companies to spend 2% of their profit for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
We have developed various projects that will qualify for CSR with companies who have identified health as their CSR policy.
We look forward to long term partnerships with companies to support us in our fight against cancer.
